Outdoor Classroom dayPosted on: May 18th 2017
hereOn 18th May we have joined thousands of schools across the world in a global event called Outdoor Classroom Day. It is a day to celebrate and inspire outdoor learning and play. The children at Claycots took part with enthusiasm in activities such as : running races, mini beasts hunt, making bird feeders or using natural resources for Maths investigations. Our school library has moved outside for the day and everyone had a chance to enjoy reading a book in the sunshine. We have also launched a competition to find out what the ideal outdoor classroom would look like.
We have all embraced this opportunity to learn and play outside and we are looking at making outdoor learning part of everyday experiences.
