Young warriors in the making!Posted on: September 27th 2017
Children at Claycots travelled back in time to the Dark Ages where the Vikings once invaded Britain. The children learnt how to speak in Norse, the language used by the Vikings and even created their own Viking names! Eagerly, children trained as Viking warriors sailing across the oceans, fighting battles and raiding monasteries. We looked closely at Viking life, roles and responsibilities of men and women and even got to have our teachers walk the Viking ramp!
Adding to the excitement, children had the amazing opportunity to explore real Viking artefacts, dress up and feel as if they were real warriors! We are glad we could give our children this wonderful opportunity where they gained valuable knowledge from Viking experts who educated and enthralled both children and staff
