Enabling EnterprisePosted on: November 1st 2016
In early November, Mr Graham and two Year 5 pupils from the Town Hall Campus, along with a small group of pupils from our Britwell Campus, visited White City in London to take part in a project called ‘Enabling Enterprise’. This project focused on developing skills in design, creativity and teamwork and the pupils were introduced to 8 challenge skills and the world of construction. The children loved learning about how architects use CAD as a design package, as well as how engineers design the structure of a building. White City was also going through a regeneration process which have the children the opportunity to visit a construction site as well.
Although we did not win the competition overall, Claycots were praised for “Sharing Ideas: an excellent presentation where all members made great efforts to keep eye contact and engage their audience well.”
