Job Summary

To support children with additional needs

10 hours per week, 11.30am to 1:30pm Monday to Friday | Term time only

This role is a fixed term contract whilst the named child attends at Claycots School

We are looking for 2 Lunchtime Controllers at the Town Hall Campus to ensure the safety, welfare and good conduct of pupils with additional needs during the midday break in the dining area and playground. You need to provide support to these pupils, assist with cleanliness of the dining area and engage the children in developmental play

You will need to closely monitor the safety and wellbeing of a child/group of children with additional needs and promote their social and emotional skills.

The ideal candidates will have good interpersonal skills with an ability to deal with matters calmly, swiftly and firmly. They will need to be reliable, punctual and flexible.

Previous experience of working in a school environment and with SEN children would be an advantage for all these roles but is not essential, as training will be provided to the right candidate. Knowledge of First Aid and Health and Safety are required.

These roles are on a fixed term basis to support a named child whilst in attendance at Claycots School.
