11th May 2020

Dear Parents and Carers,

Weekly Covid-19 update – Week Four Summer Term

I hope you and your families are all well and safe as we continue to face the lockdown and social distancing.

The Prime Minister said last evening that a phased return to school would begin in June with pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 6, if infection rates and the Government's other tests at the time allow it.

This means that it is a conditional plan. Basically, the infection rate needs to come down and stay down before Claycots Primary School, or any other school can open for more children.

At this stage of information receiving and planning, I cannot answer all the questions that you undoubtedly have. We are waiting to receive more information from the Government about what this means for Claycots Primary School and our families.

I can assure you that maintaining the health and wellbeing of our children, staff and school community is of the utmost importance to myself and everyone who works at Claycots Primary School.

This week (May 11th -15th) and next week (May 18th -22nd), the Britwell Campus will remain open for Key Worker children and vulnerable families only.

Please can I remind parents that in the short-term, nothing has changed and we will provide further information in the coming days and weeks once we are able to do so. All other families need to follow the DFE guidelines and not attend the school during the lockdown.

Contact with families and children

Next week the class teacher will continue to phone you and your child so that we can check in to hear how your child is doing, and hopefully provide a further link with the school.

Study packs have been updated this morning and will be updated on Friday 15th May.

Twitter updates can be found at @ClaycotsSchool and general email enquiries should be sent to: enquiries@claycots.com

Free School Meal Vouchers – Edenred Vouchers
